Our second-floor performance lineup features a never-before-seen piece by Tiresias, where a lyrebird recalls the songs of extinct birds; a historical journey of corn from Oaxaca to Cahokia to the United States by Esther The Bipedal Entity; a garden-inspired poetry performance by Untitled Queen; and a set by GOD COMPLEX.

The evening will be hosted by Esther The Bipedal Entity.

The 2025 Mad World Film Programming includes 10 experimental films screened at SoMad's 2nd floor on a video loop. The selection of films include: "Linden Beer" by Eden Attar, "The Gatekeepers" by Zen Cohen, "Strode Movie" by Pablo Garcia, "THE STIGMA FOG SAINT" by Angie Jennings, "Zoonomia" by Yeon Jin Kim, "Field Dances" by Muyassar Kurdi, "I Get to Have My Own Private Hope" by Yue Nakayama, "FLORE" by Emily Sasmor, "Our Mine" by Shayna Strype, and "Fleeting but Prolonged" by Ada Yueting Wu.

Each short experimental film was selected from the open call for video art.

SoMad's 3rd floor features a gallery space showcasing artworks that engage in conversations around the environment, nature and queerness. Our show features pieces by David Aliperti, David Anaya Maya, Dakota Gearhart, Amina Gingold, Zulu Padilla, Paul Simon, Sophia Wolfe, and Soraya Zaman, with fine art available for purchase.

Our Artist-in-Residence, Dakota Gearhart, creator of "Life Touching Life", and Sabrina Imbler, author of "How Far the Light Reaches" will participate in an artist talk at 5pm.

SoMad's 4th floor includes a pop-up shop featuring upcycled clothing by Keith Lafuente, butterly jewlery by Flora Zhai, and plant-dyed vases by Studio Loop Loop.

A selection of Vegan food will be served by Mariana Tamiozzy and special Filipino treats by Bibingka Mama through out the event.
